Footage of the event, which was organized by both Kendrick’s adoptive parents and his birth mom, was shared to TikTok, where it has more than 119,000 views as of May 12.

‘We always try to come up with ways to support and encourage him,” said Kendrick’s birth mother, Marellen Kandu, via Storyful. ‘We hope more children can show their artwork in ways like this, as it boosts their self-esteem.’
