World Health Organization holds a briefing on the coronavirus outbreak – 7/7/2020
The World Health Organization officials hold a press conference Tuesday to update the public on the coronavirus outbreak, which has infected more than 11.64 million globally, according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University. A group of 239 scientists from 32 different countries have published an open letter to the World Health Organization arguing that the organization needs to give more weight to the role of the airborne spread of Covid-19. The experts published the findings that support their view in the Clinical Infectious Diseases medical journal Monday. A spokesperson for WHO told CNBC on Monday it was aware of the open letter and technical experts at the organization were currently reviewing its contents.
