End of COVID-19 pandemic

After more than two years, the World Health Organisation has said the end of the COVID-19 pandemic is near, as daily case numbers around the world have dropped dramatically. Last week, the number of weekly reported deaths from the coronavirus was the lowest since March 2020. But the WHO has warned that countries cannot become complacent as there's still the risk of new variants.
