Natural Cold process soap making tutorial handmade Lavender essential oil soap
In this video we will be creating a purple and white soap scented with natural Lavender essential oil and topped with Lavender flowers.
We will be using ultramarine violet oxide, which is a nature identical soap colourant, meaning it is mined naturally from the earth but has gone through a process to remove heavy metals and other nasties that you wouldn't want to bathe in!
Our soaps are all palm oil free and this one is vegan friendly too.
The ingredients we used for this soap are as follows:
Water 220g
Sodium Hydroxide (Lye) 109g
Olive Oil 340g
Coconut Oil 184g
Shea Butter 75g
Cocoa Butter 36g
Castor Oil 57g
Sweet Almond Oil 99g
Ultramarine Violet Oxide 0.8g (plus a little additional to create pencil line in the soap)
Lavender Essential Oil 20ml
Lavender Flowers - a few sprinkled on top!
