Shannon Lee Shares the Origin Story of Netflix’s ‘Warrior’ - Inspired by Bruce Lee
Did you know that the hit TV Show ‘Warrior’ was originally created by Bruce Lee himself?
Executive producer and daughter of the late Bruce Lee, Shannon Lee, reveals the origins of the show, dating back more than 50 years when her father first wrote the concept and treatment.
Shannon shares about the struggle her father faced trying to get the show made and being rejected by the studios for being Chinese-American. As a result, the script was tucked away in a box for decades.
Shannon discovered this gem of a script after taking charge of her father’s Legacy. She was approached by Justin Lin, director of the Fast and Furious franchise, and an idea was born to bring Bruce Lee’s vision to life.
Now streaming on Netflix!
