The Rock vs. Vin Diesel: What started the beef?

Why do The Rock and Vin Diesel hate each other? It all started in 2016, when the Rock posted an Instagram video ranting about how unprofessional Diesel was during the filming of Fast and Furious. The Rock added that if fans noticed him looking pissed off in Fast 8, he probably wasn't acting. Vin Diesel had problems with the Rock for years because the Rock showed up late and delayed production. The Rock also wanted a bigger trailer than his castmates and demanded his character not lose in any fights. The beef went so far that the Rock and Diesel couldn’t even be on set at the same time. Years later, Vin Diesel wanted the beef to end and he begged the Rock to rejoin the franchise for Fast 9, but the Rock refused. Diesel said he used tough love on the set with the Rock to get a better performance out of him and mentioned the Rock’s children to try to get him to sign on. But the Rock wasn’t having it. He said Diesel was trying to manipulate him and shouldn’t talk about his children ever again.
